County Championship Division One, Canterbury (stumps, day three): Kent 285 & 29-0 v Hampshire 554-7 dec Dimitri Mascarenhas built on the strong platform laid by John Crawley as Hampshire maintained their Division One title challenge at Canterbury.
Crawley, resuming on 113, went on to score 189 and Dominic Thornely and Nic Pothas both hit half-centuries before Mascarenhas cracked 131 off 151 balls.
Shane Warne added a breezy 44no off 31 balls before Hampshire declared on 554-7, a commanding lead of 269.
Kent had reduced that to 240 as they reached 29-0 by the close.
