After being crowned European Under-17 Division Two Cricket Champions this summer, the Isle of Man have been rewarded with another European fixture. The island will host the 2011 European Under-19 Division Two championships. The Manx team will play Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Israel and Italy between 27 July and 2 August. The decision was announced at Lord's on Thursday by the International Cricket Council. The Manx are hoping to emulate this summer's success of their Under-17 side, who won all five of their games, beating Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Austria and beat then Italy by five wickets in the final. Manx cricket development officer Gareth Dawson said: "Youngsters interested in cricket here have a great opportunity to compete for their country."
