Shrewsbury beat Walmley by 31 runs to keep their Birmingham League Premier Division title hopes alive. They moved back to within 30 points of leaders Knowle and Dorridge, whose game at Moseley was rained off. Tom Cox (65 no) and Ed Foster (40) saw Shrewsbury to 207-7, before Michael Barnard took 5-41 and Elliott Green 3-34 as Walmley were 176 all out. Elsewhere, Steve Lamb hit 96 and Wendell Wagner 43 in Wellington's 209-8, but Kidderminster made 212-7. In Division One, Shifnal crashed to an eight-wicket defeat at Bromsgrove. Shifnal could only muster 80, with the home side passing that measly total for the loss of just two wickets. In the Division Two Shropshire derby, Bridgnorth crushed Whitchurch by 136 runs. Ryan Lockley (74) and Adam Smith (56) scored half-centuries in a total of 252-7 for Bridgnorth, before Jono Whitney (5-35) and Sam Whitney (4-31) combined to shoot Whitchurch out for 116. The match between Ombersley and St.George's was abandoned after the visitors had reached 80 for four, in the 31st over. Oswestry consolidated their mid-table position in Division Three with an 81-run win over Coleshill. Oswestry only scored 170, but Mark Robinson's 5-9 and Mudassir Pasha's 4-44 put paid to Coleshill for just 89.
