Shrewsbury have fallen 41 points behind Knowle & Dorridge after a two-wicket defeat by the Birmingham & District Premier Division leaders. Joe Leach (85 no) and Ed Foster (62) helped second-placed Shrewsbury to 255-4, but Knowle reached their target with two balls to spare on 256-8. Chris Shephard (51) and Adam Byram (42) steered Wellington to 211-7 at Himley, then Byram's 5-54 produced a one-run victory to cement fourth place. In the first division, Anthony Parker hit 70 as Shifnal beat Stratford. Parker and David Powles (60) took Shifnal 258-8, and Powles then showed his talents with the ball, taking 6-35, as he and fellow off-spinner Jonathan Kidson (4-22) spun Stratford out for 132. In division two, Bridgnorth piled up 264-7 at Berkswell with major contributions from Jono Whitney (91) and Adam Smith (71), but the home side clinched the points on 266-6 with almost five overs remaining. Whitchurch could only muster 131 against Aston Manor, who easily reached 132-5. St George's stayed bottom of the table after a nine-wicket defeat by Harborne. Godfrey Stevens hit 67 not out and Steve Taylor 44 for the Shropshire side, but Jonathan Cockcroft took 5-44 to shoot the visitors out for 153. Harborne then coasted to 156-1. Oswestry pulled themselves out of the third division relegation zone with an eight-wicket win over Pershore, who crashed to 93 all out, Paul Robinson taking 4-36. An unbeaten 50 from Alex Huxley then steered Oswestry into mid-table. Madeley stay out in front in the Shropshire Premier League after a seven-wicket win against Shelton.
