Oxfordshire have beaten Herefordshire by nine wickets in their MCCA Championship match at Banbury. The home side had a first innings lead of 93 and comfortably reached the victory target of 116 in their second spell at the crease. Captain Ian Hawtin told BBC Oxford: "We are really pleased, it was a good all-round performance. "It was all about being patient as the wicket was still very good even on the third day of the game." He added: "We made good inroads on Monday when we took five wickets. They had a tough batsman at number six, but after we got that one we looked good for the win."
