Devon secure first win of season by beating Wales

Cricket

Devon have beaten Wales by 219 runs to secure their first win in this season's Minor Counties Championship.

Wales went into the final day in Abergavenny on 11-2, still needing 275 to win and with talented opener Nick James still at the crease.

But a six-wicket haul from Devon's Chris Bradley ensured Wales never got close to the target as they slumped to 166 all out in their second innings.

The win gives Devon 24 points, while Wales gain four points in defeat.

James was eventually out for 55, the top score in Wales' second innings.
