Castletown were knocked out of the Lancashire Cup on Sunday after suffering a 67-run defeat at Bolton Cricket League side Farnworth. Castletown dismissed Farnworth for 273 runs with both Wicus Wessels and John Short taking three wickets. Gareth Morris had 22 hit from his first over but recovered to end with 2-60. Morris then smashed a scintillating 122 from 91 balls for the Manx side, but it was not enough as the southerners were all out for 206. The game was initially scheduled for two weeks earlier but was postponed after all flights out of the Isle of Man were cancelled. Meanwhile, St John's had a fine seven-wicket win at Cronkbourne in the Standard Bank Premiership on Saturday and Crosby pulled off a surprise win over Ramsey.
