Castletown defeated Loaghtyn by 113 runs on Wednesday evening to get their Standard Bank Twenty20 Division One campaign off to a winning start. Mark Williams made a scorching 64 and Zimbabwe's Travis Friend followed Saturday's century by adding 39 as the southerners finished on 170-7. Harry Rothwell was the pick of the Loaghtyn bowlers, taking 3-32. The Rams were then dismissed for just 57 with Richard Corke returning figures of 3-10 and Gareth Roome 3-8. Meanwhile, Cronkbourne made the most of the home advantage to narrowly defeat Ramey by just 18 runs.
