St John's kept their Standard Bank Premiership title hopes alive with an eight-wicket victory over Ramsey at Mullen-e-Cloie on Sunday. The northerners were dismissed for 217 with Adam Peel (57) and Ashley Webster (56) both hitting half-centuries. The Saints then reached their target for the loss of only two wickets. The in-form Phil Littlejohns hit a classy 73, Chris Hawke added 64 and their was an unbeaten 52 from skipper Jon Norrington. The win moves St John's to within four points of Ramsey and Cronkbourne at the Premiership summit. Meanwhile, Crosby provided the shock of the day as they beat Castletown at Marown. Simon Watson scored an immaculate 124 not out and Kevin Kniveton made 63 as Crosby finished on 257-2. Christian Steriopulos led the Town reply with an excellent 90, but his side fell 37 runs short. Elsewhere, Cronkbourne had a convincing win over Loaghtyn. Tromode made 199-6 and then bowled out the Rams for just 52.
