Fell has seen Lincolnshire make an unbeaten start to the season |
Director of cricket Mark Fell has said Lincolnshire cannot afford to take Sunday's MCCA Knockout Trophy opponents Cambridgeshire lightly. They will reach the quarter-finals if they avoid defeat at March against Group Four's bottom side. Fell told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We certainly can't think about where they are in the league. "We have to concentrate on our game and do our usual thing and if we do that the result should take care of itself." He added: "We have to approach the game like all the rest. Cambridgeshire always seem to do well against us and with the side they've got I can't believe they've lost all three of their games so far." The match will be Rob Cook's final game as captain before he embarks on a professional career in Rugby Union with Cornish Pirates. Fell said: "He'll want to go out on a high and leave the lads in a great position when he relinquishes the captaincy. "He'll be a hard act to follow but we're definitely not a one-man band, someone else will step up to the plate and we'll hopefully continue to go from strength to strength." Play at March Town Cricket Club starts at 1100 BST on Sunday, 31 May.
