Wiltshire are in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals of the MCCA Knockout Trophy after Sunday's game with Devon was abandoned. The match at Trowbridge was called off without a ball being bowled because of the bad weather. That earned both teams a point, leaving Wiltshire top of their qualifying group with one round of matches to play. They now need only avoid a crushing defeat at Cornwall on Sunday, 31 May to reach the last eight. Holders Devon must now hope that Wiltshire win that match if they are to qualify.
