Berks on top against Lincolnshire

Berkshire are still in control against Lincolnshire after the third day of the Minor Counties Championship final was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

On the second day, after winning the toss and batting first, Berkshire made 358 in 90 overs with Bjorn Mordt (100 no) and Dan Shilvock (82) top-scoring.

Lincolnshire struggled in reply, closing on 45-4 after Carl Crowe took two wickets for Berkshire.

The first day was also a wash-out because of the weather.

Lincolnshire all-rounder Matthew Dowman told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's not been a good day, they came out with an attacking approach which paid off. The team can recover."
