Beeches became champions of the NatWest Evening Cricket League when they beat St Ouen by 33 runs on Monday night. In the Division One decider Beeches set a target of 132 to win but St Ouen were bowled out for just 98. Beeches won seven and tied one of their 10 games this season to leave them five points clear of second-placed Hautlians, with St Ouen in third. Division Two champions St Helier have won promotion to the top flight, as have runners-up Walkovers. Beeches were last Evening League champions in 2001.
