A poor show with the bat condemned Jersey's Under-15s to an 89-run defeat by the Netherlands in Europe's Under-15s Division One tournament.

Jersey's bowlers held the Dutch to 150 all out, with Aidan McGuire taking four wickets for 26 runs.

But Jersey's batsmen failed to deliver, being bowled out for 61 off 38.4 overs.

Not one island batsman got into double figures, with Will Southall top scoring with eight. The Dutch scored most of the runs for Jersey with 36 extras.

Five of the island's batsmen failed to score a single run.

Jersey finish bottom of their group, which was topped by Scotland.

The Scots will face Ireland in Thursday's final while the Dutch will play Guernsey for third place. Jersey take on Denmark for fifth and sixth place.
