Norfolk player-coach Brown has recovered from an ankle injury |
Norfolk have opted to strengthen their bowling attack for their Minor Counties Championship match against Suffolk. Experienced batsman Carl Amos and bowler Richard Gilliatt make way for spinner Chris Brown and Vauxhall Mallards left armer Martin Addison. Amos made only 13 runs in two innings during Norfolk's 16-run defeat by Bedfordshire. The 35-year-old made his debut in 1993 but has opted not to play in some of Norfolk's away matches this summer. Chris Brown is back in after missing the Bedfordshire match because of an ankle injury. The spinner is the club's most experienced bowler and also player-coach. Norfolk have lost their first two matches of this year's Manor Park festival after suffering several batting collapses and are just one place off the bottom of the Minor Counties Eastern Division table. Suffolk are in with a chance of winning the Championship and will be looking for revenge after losing to Norfolk by 14 runs in the MCCA One-Day Trophy earlier in the season. BBC Radio Norfolk will have regular updates on Norfolk v Suffolk throughout the three-day match which begins on Sunday August 3 2008
