Norfolk made it two wins out of two in the MCCA Knock-out Trophy thanks to a 14-run victory over neighbours Suffolk at Woodbridge School. Another win at home to Staffordshire next Sunday will put them through to the last eight. But Suffolk look unlikely to defend the title they won at Lord's last September after losing their opening two games. Teenager Jaik Mickleburgh (65) top scored and Carl Amos also made a half century in Norfolk's 260 for six. Slow left-arm spinner George Walker took 3 for 74, while Chris Brown and Michael Eccles claimed two wickets each. Norfolk captain Carl Rogers told BBC Radio Norfolk: "This was a fantastic victory but we musn't be complacent. "One no-result from the last two games would be enough to qualify but two defeats would see us miss out." Rogers also praised 18-year-old Mickleburgh who shared in a vital 65-run sixth wicket stand with Chris Brown. "He played really well," said Rogers. "He's got an old head on young shoulders and without his quick runs at the end we may have struggled."
