Norfolk opening batsman Carl Amos has revealed that he is planning to stand down for a number of their away fixtures this summer. The veteran of 15 years is in the team to face Suffolk in the Minor Counties One-Day Trophy on Sunday. The 35-year-old said: "I don't expect to walk straight back in if someone does well, but I can still bring something to the side. "It's just a case of keeping myself a bit fresher, but I've had a good run." Sunday's match at Woodbridge School pits Norfolk against reigning Trophy champions Suffolk, and Amos expects it to be a tough day. "It's going to be hard, most of them are Bury players and they're going to be very strong, but hopefully we can just nick it at the end. "The good thing is that it's early in the season, people haven't played too many games and the wickets will even things up, we'll have a good chance."
