West Indies Test fast bowler Tino Best has been sacked by Leek Cricket Club after being accused of verbally abusing umpires and players. Leek secretary Stan Trafford told BBC Radio Stoke: "Best has had his contract terminated but we will be making no further comment." Best, 26, faces a disciplinary hearing from the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire League next Thursday. Meanwhile, on Sunday Staffordshire face Oxfordshire in the MCCA Trophy. They come into the game on the back of their 186-run defeat by Lincolnshire in the Minor Counties Championship.
