West Indian Test Tino Best marked his debut for Leek by taking four wickets and hitting an unbeaten half-century in their 155-run win over Moddershall. Elsewhere in the North Staffs and South Cheshire Premier League Burslem beat Wood Lane by 68 runs to stay top. Meanwhile, defending champions Audley beat Barlaston by seven wickets to record their first win of the season. Knypersley beat Longton by 55 runs, Little Stoke defeated Stafford by eight wickets and Porthill drew with Stone. In Division One, both Checkley and Elworth maintained their 100% records. A century from South African Murray Ranger helped Elworth defeat Cheadle by six runs, while Checkley's new professional, Sri Lankan Ruchira Perera, took five wickets in their win over Sandyford. Weston are the only side to have won all three games in Division Two. They beat Oakamoor by 74 runs, while Stone SP lead Division Three after beating Wedgwood by 77 runs.
