Romerils edged past top of the table Sporting Club Francais (SCF) by 10 runs in the battle of the top two in Jersey's cricket Premier Division. Romerils batted first and scored 186-8 in their 45 overs, Jamie Brewster top scored with 52 while Steve Carlyon took 3-51 with the ball. In reply Sporting Club fell just short of the total with 176 all out. Steve Carlyon scored 54 runs while Ryan Driver took four Sporting Club Francais wickets for 18 runs. The victory means Romerils are 16 points behind SCF at the top of the table but have a game in hand. Elsewhere Springfield beat Caesareans by two wickets with just three balls to spare at les Quennevais. Batting first Caesareans scored 191- 9 , Peter Germaine scored a half century as Phil Adams grabbed 4-38. In reply Springfield scored 192-8 with three balls to spare. Kevan Crowell's 33 not out guiding the side home after Mark Seralis had scored 47 runs. Springfield go third in the table - 21 points behind leaders Sporting Club. Old Victorians are fourth, St Ouen fifth and Caesareans sixth and bottom of the table.
