 Romerils beat Old Victorians by eight wickets |
Jersey Premier League cricket champions Romerils won their second match this season on Sunday when they beat Old Victorians by eight wickets. The OVs, last year's Channel Island champions, were bowled out for 94, Peter Blackburn taking 3-26 and Martin Waite 3-38. Romerils then reached their target in 31 overs, Ian Crocker making 36 not out in their 98-2. Sporting Club continued their good form with a 175-run win over Caesareans. SCF scored 243-5, Steve Carlyon top scoring with 72, supported by Miku Patidar (48) and Matt Hague (36). Caesareans were then bowled out for just 68. Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Springfield beat St Ouen by seven wickets. St Ouen were bowled out for 170, of which Paul Herton made 52. Richard Parker took 4-37, supported by Mark Seralis (3-24), who then hit an unbeaten 74 as Springfield got home in 37 overs on 171 for three, of which Pat Kelly made 42.
