ICC World Cricket League, Nairobi: Bermuda 269-5 beat Scotland 268-9 by five wickets Hamilton impressed with the bat against Bermuda |
Scotland lost for the first time at the ICC World Cricket League, falling to a five wicket defeat to Bermuda. The Scots will now take on host nation Kenya in Wednesday's final, with both sides having won four of their five matches in the tournament.
Gavin Hamilton top-scored for Scotland with 79, while Ryan Watson made 57.
But Bermuda overhauled the Scotland total with an over to spare - skipper Irving Romaine and Lionel Cann unbeaten on 84 and 49 respectively.
Kenya booked their place in the final with a convincing 158 run victory over Canada and both finalists are rewarded with a place at this year's inaugural Twenty20 World Championship in South Africa.
Omer Hussain received a reprimand for showing dissent at being given out lbw during the Scotland innings.
Hussain "appeared to gesture with both hands, indicating his unhappiness with the decision", according to a statement from the International Cricket Council.
Tournament referee Roshan Mahanama said: "Mr Hussain is a young player with potentially a long time in the game at a high level.
"But he will find that if he acts in this way in future then some of that time will be spent in disciplinary hearings.
