Tikolo announced he would step down last September |
Steve Tikolo has been reappointed as Kenya captain for an Intercontinental Cup match against Uganda from 22 April. Tikolo, 33, announced his decision to step down last September and was among the senior players who walked out of the team over a pay row a month later.
"We have settled on Tikolo for the sake of continuation," said his brother Tom, chairman of the selection committee.
The match was postponed after a row engulfed the national cricket board but a truce has since been agreed.
The selectors have included two uncapped players, including 17-year-old batsman Tanmay Mishra.
But there was no place for seamer Rageb Aga, who acted as interim captain when Kenya lost in the semi-finals of the inaugural Intercontinental Cup in the UAE last November.
The tournament, for the 12 teams just below Test status, culminates with a final in Namibia in October.
Kenya squad: Steve Tikolo (capt), Thomas Odoyo, Kennedy Obuya, David Obuya, Maurice Ouma, Martin Suji, Peter Ongondo, Hitesh Modi, Collins Obuya, Tanmay Mishra, Lamech Onyango, Malhar Patel, Kalpesh Patel, Nehemiah Odhiambo.
