Bangladesh on back foot
Tour match, Grenada, day two (stumps):
WICB XI 320-5 dec; Bangladesh 124-4

Sylvester Joseph and Dwayne Bravo made centuries as a West Indies Cricket Board XI put themselves in a strong position against Bangladesh in Grenada.

The home side made 320-5 declared in their first innings and then reduced the tourists to 124-4.

Joseph (115) and Bravo (100) put on 212 for the third wicket and Carlton Baugh weighed in with an unbeaten 52.

Bangladesh slumped to 4-3 but 67 not out by Mohammad Ashraful saved them from total collapse.

With only 40 overs possible on day one it was a case of making up for lost time.

And Joseph and Bravo opted for aggressive tactics after the Board XI resumed on 82-2.

They were finally separated when Joseph gave a return catch to spinner Enamul Haque Jr and Bravo followed soon afterwards when he was run out.

Haque picked up his second wicket when he bowled dangerous Dwayne Smith for nine, but Baugh hit two sixes and five fours to give the innings a final flourish.

Jermaine Lawson and Corey Collymore took the new ball for the Board XI and both were immediately among the wickets.

Collymore dismissed Javed Omar and Rajin Saleh with successive deliveries before Bangladesh had a single run on the board.

Ashraful managed to prevent the hat-trick, but Hannan Sarkar soon followed when he tried to drive a ball from Lawson and was caught behind for one.

But Ashraful received good support from Faisal Hossain and they took the score to 79 before the latter was lbw to left-arm wrist spinner Dave Mohammed for 43.
