Rain wrecks Windies warm-up
Tour match, East London: West Indies 278 & 168-3 drew with Border 251

West Indies' preparations for the second Test against South Africa were hit when the last two days of the tour match against Border were washed out.

Rain on Sunday and Monday meant Ramnaresh Sarwan was unable to press on from his unbeaten 71.

The tourists lost the opening Test by 189 runs and will be looking to turn their fortunes around when the next match begins in Durban on Friday.

On Saturday, the Caribbean side had enjoyed 42 overs of batting.

During that time, Wavell Hinds continued his poor run of form when he was out for a single.

Earlier, paceman Adam Sanford made a claim for a Test spot with a five-wicket haul while chinaman bowler Dave Mohammed took 3-89.
