England's women claimed the bronze medal in the basketball tournament with a 78-75 win over Nigeria. Andrea Congreaves and Shelly Boston did most of the damage, contributing 21 and 12 points respectively.
Seattle Storm forward Lauren Jackson helped Australia win gold with 23 points in their comfortable 77-39 win over New Zealand.
The men's final and bronze medal match take place on Friday, with the same combinations of teams taking part.
Ann Zammit, England's team manager, said: "I am very proud of them. It has made all the long nights worth it.

"In the last few minutes I was having kittens because it was so close, but we made it in the end.
"Lets hope it puts English basketball on the map."
Guard Claire Mason said: "It's absolutely brilliant. Even before tonight it has been a fantastic experience and we have learnt so much, but to medal in our first games is great. I am elated."
Guard and forward Katie Crowley added: "This is fantastic. It's the dream we have had for three years and it has finally come true.
"It was so nerve-wracking to be up by 10 and then let them back in. But we made it. In the end it was the best feeling in the world."
