England's netballers made it three wins out of three in Melbourne, trouncing St Vincent and the Grenadines 78-18. The result put England top of their group, but reigning world champions New Zealand have a game in hand.
England dominated Monday's match throughout, racking up quarter scores of 20-6, 23-3, 19-6 and 16-3.
There was more misery for Wales though, who were thrashed 74-21 by Jamaica and have now lost all three of their matches in the tournament so far.
All of England's players got some court time, with Louisa Brownfield - a member of the England under-21 squad that won silver at last year World Youth Championships - top-scoring with 26 goals from 30 attempts.
Bath pair Rachel Dunn and Pamela Cookey maintained their good form - Dunn scoring 14 from 15 attempts and Cookey 13 from 17.
But England still have their toughest encounters ahead of them - they play New Zealand on Wednesday and South Africa on Thursday.
England's captain Loughborough Lightning player Olivia Murphy said: "We wanted to start strongly and get a good score in the first quarter, and give all of our players some Commonwealth Games experience.
"We're building all the time for our games against New Zealand and South Africa, so we wanted to improve with each game," she added.
"We've got a day without a game tomorrow and then we will need to improve again against New Zealand."
Marg Caldow, England's head netball coach, said: "I was pleased with our performance for three quarters.
"I thought in the last quarter we let the standard drop a bit and lost our intensity, but then we picked it up again a bit at the end.
"We're progressing nicely, but we now need to step up a couple of levels against New Zealand," she added.
"We're looking forward to the challenge of playing the number one team in the world."
