Defending champions England were given a massive scare before beating India 3-2 to reach the badminton team final. England, who beat Canada 3-1 in the quarter-finals, went ahead through Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms.
However, India fought back to take a 2-1 lead with shock singles wins over Aamir Ghaffar and Tracey Hallam.
Anthony Clark and Robert Blair edged a nail-biting men's doubles 21-19 21-19 and then Emms and Donna Kellogg sealed the fightback with a 21-11 21-17 win.
England had beaten India 5-0 in the pool stages and were not expecting such a dramatic encounter.
The team had only lost their first match of the competition in the quarter-final win over Canada when Simon Archer was outclassed by Robert Milroy in the men's singles.
"I don't think anything went wrong, India just played very well," said Olympic mixed doubles silver medallist Emms.
"There are six of us in this team who have grown up together and have known each other since we were 12 years old.
"We have known each other for years and are really good friends, which helps because you just want to do everything for them and I think that's what gives us the great team spirit."
England will play Malaysia in the final after they defeated New Zealand 3-1.
