Bradley Pryce celebrates his win over Michael Monaghan
Former Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce will compete for the first light-middleweight Prizefighter crown, at the York Hall on Friday, 26 February.
The 28-year-old will be looking to emulate the success of stable-mate Gavin Rees, who won the Prizefighter light-welterweight title in December.
The full line-up for the eight-man, one-night event has yet to be named.
Manchester's Matthew Hall, who took Pryce's Commonwealth crown last year, is one name thought to be in the frame.
Marcus Portman, Tyan Booth, Gary Woolcombe and Yassine El Maachi are other potential candidates for the innovative tournament that sees eight men competing in four quarter-finals of three rounds.
The winners advance to the semi-final and then the final on the same night, each bout over three rounds.
Newport's Pryce, known as 'Sugar Sweet', suffered a brutal second-round knock-out against Hall in March.
Pryce, trained and promoted by Enzo Calzaghe and his son Joe, says he was suffering from bulimia at the time and he has since brought in a dietician as part of a new fitness regime.
He impressed in a comeback win over Michael Monaghan in August, taking his professional record to 28 wins and seven defeats.
