Bradley Pryce lost his Commonwealth title to Matthew Hall in March |
Former Commonwealth light-middleweight champion Bradley Pryce's fight with Sergejs Savrinovics has been postponed. The Welsh fighter was to top the Calzaghe Promotions' latest bill at Newport Centre on 20 November as a step towards a world title fight. But the 28-year-old has been withdrawn from his fight to face the Latvian for a reason that has not been announced. Fellow Calzaghe stable members Tony Doherty and Hari Miles are now set to headline the 'Back to the Future' show. Pryce, who lost his Commonwealth crown to Matthew Hall in March, was hoping to build on his points win against Michael Monaghan in August. Doherty, meanwhile, has not been in the ring since winning the Welsh Area welterweight title in March last year. His opponent has yet to be confirmed, as has those for light heavyweight Miles and latest Calzaghe stable recruit light-welterweight Chris Evangelou. Jeff Evans will face Jamie Ambler at super-middleweight, Ryan Evans faces Chris Long at light-welterweight, and Lee Lewis has been lined up against Mark Lewis at cruiserweight. "There are a lot of fighters who are up and coming on the bill and it's good to see Tony Doherty back in action," said promoter Joe Calzaghe.
