Gavin has won all three of his professional fights
Wolverhampton's Steve Saville says he will provide rising star Frankie Gavin with his hardest test yet when the pair meet at the end of October.
Saville, 33, has won 19 and lost six fights in his career so far but is in bullish mood ahead of meeting Gavin.
"He's a good little prospect but the pro ranks are a different kettle of fish," Saville told BBC WM.
"I'll be a good test for him to see if he's got a good chin and can take a whack. He's in for a war."
Gavin, 23, will be fighting as a professional for the fourth time and Saville says his greater experience should cause the southpaw from Erdington problems.
"He hasn't really fought anyone yet, nobody any good really," Saville said.
"No matter what kind of style they have, they don't punch with both hands with my style. They have to be really, really strong to stop me coming forward.
"I don't underestimate the lad at all. I've watched him and he trains very hard. It should be a good fight."
The fight in Liverpool on 30 October will be Saville's third of the year and his seventh since spending six years out of the sport.
"It's lovely to be back. I had a bad cruciate ligament injury which knocked me off my feet for a year so to comeback is great," he added.
"I'm always confident and I get in there to win. I think the pressure's more on him with them saying he's the new Amir Khan.
