Jeffries has won his first two bouts as a professional |
Sunderland light-heavyweight Tony Jeffries has lined up a second hometown bout against an unnamed opponent at the Seaburn Centre on 10 July. The Olympic bronze medallist, 23, will step up to six rounds for the first time in his professional career. He stopped Roy Meissner at a capacity Crowtree Centre in May after beating Aliaksandr Vayavoda on his debut. Lee Haskins' British super-flyweight defence against Ross Burkinshaw is top of the bill. Fellow Beijing bronze medallist Darren Sutherland is also on the card, although the Irishman's opponent is also yet to be named.
