Munroe resumes work as a binman on Tuesday

European super-bantamweight champion Rendall Munroe is considering whether to stage a world title fight in his home county of Leicestershire.

Munroe's manager Mike Shinfield said he is in talks about whether the fighter should go for a world title.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "The world champions are all class - it is another big step and it's a matter of deciding whether it's worth taking that step."

Possible venues are the Walkers Stadium and Loughborough University.

"We have been offered world title fights previously but we wanted to make sure Rendall was comfortable and settled operating at this level," Shinfield added.

Rendall Munroe retained his European super-bantamweight title with an impressive victory over Kiko Martinez at the Barnsley Metrodome in February.
