Leicester Tigers acting head coach Richard Cockerill says his team have nothing to fear in the Guinness Premiership after beating Gloucester.

The Tigers won 24-10 at Welford Road on Saturday to move to within four points of the leaders Gloucester.

Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester: "We've beaten Irish away, we've beaten Gloucester who are top, so we shouldn't have any fears about playing anyone.

"It's a good time to come in to some form and we should be confident."

Leicester are now on the same points as Harlequins, Sale and Bath and just one point ahead of London Irish in sixth.

Cockerill added: "It was a fantastic game and a great win for us. We needed the points to put pressure on teams above us and around us and we're delighted.

"We've created lots of opportunities and the attitude and the spirit in the camp is first-class.

"I'm really happy with the mentality and the attitude and the way we're trying to play our rugby.

"Confidence was high before the game but you have to turn it into wins and thankfully we are at the moment."
