Hinckley United boosted their outside chances of a place in the Blue Square north play-offs with a gritty home win.

The injury-hit Knitters had to play 42-year-old Stuart Storer in midfield but showed bags of character to win.

Dominic Roma grabbed the only goal on the half-hour when he shot home after Callum Lloyd's effort hit the post.

Adam Webster also hit the bar and Andy Hall went close while at the other end keeper Chris MacKenzie made two good saves as the visitors pressed late on.
