"The Cobra" vows to be 50% better |
British super middleweight champion Carl Froch is set to defend his title against Matthew Barney on 9 July. Fighting at his local Nottingham Arena, "The Cobra" is confident of beating Barney, who lost in March to European light heavyweight champ Thomas Ulrich.
"He's talked a good fight but he'll suffer from a twitchy bottom when he steps through the ropes," said Froch.
"And I don't blame him - I'd hate to face me. I have just destroyed world ranked Henry Porras."
Froch said he would be even better prepared for Barney than he was for Porras.
"This time I'm aiming to add another 50% onto my game - and that's a frightening proposition for any boxer.
"Nottingham is my house and this fight is on my terms. I'm not going to give him a chance to run and he won't have time to spoil this fight.
