Skillicorn has won seven races this season

Simon Skillicorn retained his Manx Fell Runners title on Saturday following another dominant performance in the James Coulson Laxey Fell Race.

Skillicorn claimed his seventh victory of an impressive season in a time of one hour nine minutes and 32 seconds.

Tom Cringle completed the 8.5 mile course just under six minutes down in second with veteran Ian Gale having another fine run in third.

Sarah Curphey was the first woman home in 1:40:27.

Curphey's win was her seventh of the season giving her the ladies' title.

Rose Hooton claimed second in the competition with Justine Bowen third.

The Winter Hill League will start on 10 October.
