Kent-born Dobriskey now competes for Loughborough University |
Kent's Commonwealth 1500m champion Lisa Dobriskey thinks she has learned enough lessons from this year's Olympics to go one better at London 2012. The 24-year-old made tactical errors in Beijing and finished fourth. "Being at the back of the field is completely different to being in good shape at the front so I just didn't know how to deal with that," she said. "Hopefully with a bit more time and a bit more tactical awareness I'll get there eventually." The Ashford runner believes she made a mistake not running in enough high quality races in the build-up to the Games. "The problem I had going into Beijing was that I had only been in a Golden League race just once before in my life," she said. She demonstrated her pedigree by winning the British Grand Prix at Gateshead last weekend.
