The Tottenham player found the top corner with a 30-yard free-kick to complete a routine victory.

The Gills led when John Nutter's corner was flicked on by Dennis Oli and Simeon Jackson poked home from six yards.

Grimsby threatened when Danny North's 35-yard shot hit the bar but substitute Mark McCammon scored from 14 yards to double Gillingham's lead.
