Paralympian Danielle Brown's call-up to the England Commonwealth archery team is great for the sport, according to Suffolk archer Nicky Hunt.
Brown, 22, will be the first Paralympian to represent England in an able-bodied event at the Games.
Hunt, 25, told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I think it's given us a bit more media attention which is always a good thing.
"She makes us a very, very strong team as well with her experience so I'm really excited."
With the spotlight set to be on the current Paralympic World Champion in Delhi in October, Hunt is looking forward to being able to focus on her own game.
She said: "I think all the media attention will be on Danielle that week and in a way it's quite nice to slide that over to her.
"I can get on with my own shooting and keep my head down."
Hunt, the current world number two, and the England team are heading to Delhi in the year archery appears in the Commonwealth Games for the first time since 1982.
"It's only in as a guest sport this year as India are very good at archery," she explained.
"This is the first time in my lifetime it's been featured in the Commonwealth Games so it's a unique experience."
Hunt also has World Cup commitments to think about and will be heading to the fourth round in Ogden, Utah on 3 August sitting second in the rankings.
"Above everything else this year my goal is to medal at the Commonwealths," she said.
"But the World Cups are huge in terms of preparation experience, in fact the Commonwealth Games should, in theory, be easier to do well in because of the selected countries who can compete."
