Qatar Open, Doha France's Nicolas Escude has booked his place in the final in Doha with a commanding win over Agustin Calleri. Escude, returning from a lengthy injury lay-off, cruised to a 6-2 6-3 victory over his Argentine opponent.
The world number 87 has not played since July last year because of a hip injury and was only competing in Doha after being given a wildcard.
The win sets up a final against Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic who knocked out Tim Henman in the other semi-final.
Ljubicic needed three sets, and two winning tie-breaks, to see off the British number seven seed 7-6 (7/2) 3-6 7-6 (7/5).
AAPT Championships, Adelaide
Sixth seed Jarkko Nieminen of Finland beat Todd Reid in Adelaide to end the run of the Australian teenager.
Reid had beaten top seed Wayne Ferreira in the opening round but lost 6-2 7-5 to Nieminen in the quarter-finals.
Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty beat Greg Rusedski's conqueror Cyril Saulnier of France 6-4 7-6 (7/1) to reach the last four.
Michael Llodra of France overpowered second seed Vincent Spadea of America 6-4 6-2 and will meet Taylor Dent, who beat Thomas Johansson 7-6 (7/2) 6-2.

Top seed Carlos Moya, ranked seventh in the world, brushed aside Thierry Ascione of France 6-4, 6-4 to book a semi-final spot.
The Spaniard will play Sjeng Schalken in the last four after the Dutch third seed survived lapses in concentration before defeating Felix Mantilla 6-2 5-7 7-6 (8/6).
Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan, booked his place in the semi-finals with a two-set 6-3 7-6 (7/2) victory of Russia's Igor Andreev.
The defending champion and second seed will play the winner of Spain's Tommy Robredo and Jean-Rene Lisnard of France.
