Tim Henman moved into the fourth round of the Qatar Open with a comfortable win over Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela. The British number one, who is seeded seven in Doha, won 6-3 6-4.
Henman will now face Sargis Sargsian in the quarter-finals on Thursday after the Armenian beat Russia's Mikhail Youzhny 3-6 6-3 6-2.
"It has been a good start for the year. I have good memories about this place," said Henman, who was a finalist in Doha in 1999.
"It was a pretty conclusive match and one that breeds confidence.
"The quality of my serving certainly put his own service games under pressure.
"I think I played my best tennis in the second set. I could have made it a little easier, but I missed a few shots."
