Director of rugby: Mike Ruddock Captain: Pat Sanderson Ground: Sixways (12,068 capacity) Last season: GP - 11th ECC - Lost to Bourgoin in semi-finals England elite squad players: 0 It has been a relatively quiet summer on the personnel front as Mike Ruddock looks to drag the Warriors away from what appears to be a perennial relegation fight. Two new props, the permament addition of fly-half Willie Walker and a late sortie for Scot Calum MacRae as cover for a flurry of early injuries do not suggest a top-half challenge even it aids continuity. More will be expected of the fit-again Chris Latham, while England Saxons prop Matt Mullan should add to his growing reputation, but another struggle beckons. "Our intention is to challenge higher up the league and not get involved in a relegation battle. Last season we beat Wasps home and away and we beat Gloucester home and away and in between we struggled. But it shows the potential of this team and if we can perform more consistently to that sort of level then we hope to be challenging higher up the table." Director of rugby Mike Ruddock
