The Kiwi-born centre is growing into his role and against France gave his most assured display in an England shirt. Flutey was instrumental in England's best attacking work, starting with the skinning of Sebastien Chabal to set up Mark Cueto's try. He scampered over himself from Cueto's inside pass and nearly scored off Toby Flood's grubber kick under the posts. But he did grab a spectacular second after a high-speed chase in support of Delon Armitage's searing second-half break. VERDICT: An outsider before the tournament but edging into Lions reckoning.
