Pulling the strings for Wales in Rome, Hook took his time to find his range when kicking with the ball in hand. But his place kicking was firing, despite missing his first of five, and a couple of breaks caught the eye, though he failed to find Gavin Henson with the line looming. Hook made amends with a clever dummy and drift to create the space for Tom Shanklin to race over for the match winner. VERDICT: Must be in the Lions mix, though may not have done enough to start ahead of Wales rival Stephen Jones against Ireland.
