The diminutive Wales stepper is a rare breed in a game which is increasingly dominated by size and power.
The Ospreys winger is a fine footballer - he can also play at scrum-half - and when Wales are on song, playing with width and at a high tempo, Williams is likely to pop up all round the field.
He can beat a man one on one with his superb footwork and has pace to burn, but his lack of size can be exposed by the opposition when he is forced to defend.
