World Cup veterans: George Gregan
Country: Australia Age: 34 Caps: 134 World Cups: 3 Position: Scrum-half
Rival scrum-halves and referees alike may be glad to see the back of the Zambia-born Gregan when he retires from Test rugby after his fourth World Cup.
The combative and wily Wallaby is the game's most-capped player and has been a thorn in opposition sides since his debut in 1994.
A tenacious competitor, he won the World Cup under John Eales in 1999 and took over as skipper in 2001. He lost the captaincy this year but remains sharp, and is hungry to quit on a high.
