He represented England in 2004 and was a member of the Great Britain squad in 2005.
He eventually made his Lions debut in 2006, coming off the bench in the shock 23-12 win over Australia in Sydney on 4 November.
Unfortunately for Britain, it was their only victory of yet another disappointing Tri-Nations campaign.
