UK Championship final: Framewatch
UK Snooker Championship from York.

Sunday's final - best of 19 frames

Ken Doherty (Ire) 1-10 Ronnie O'Sullivan (Eng)
Frame scores: 47-70, 95-0, 34-92, 0-106, 5-93, 6-76, 1-103, 10-79, 1-105, 12-74 (66), 8-77 (58).

Frame 11 - O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan quickly gets among the balls, cracking open the pack after potting the blue.

He makes 58 before leaving a red over one of the bottom corner pockets.

Doherty cannot capitalise, though, and O'Sullivan is soon back at the table to complete a one-sided win.

Frame 10 - O'Sullivan

Doherty gets off the mark first but leaves O'Sullivan with a chance to compile another sizeable break.

The Englishman duly obliges with a 66 to leave his struggling opponent needing snookers.

Doherty then fouls on a routine safety shot to hand another frame to O'Sullivan.

Frame 9 - O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan goes into the evening session needing just two frames for victory.

There is no stopping the world champion in frame nine and he opens up with a break of 59.

Doherty is given a glimmer of a chance when O'Sullivan leaves the black over the bottom corner but he is some way off with a long red.

O'Sullivan fails with a plant and Doherty responds with a useful red only to fail on the black - which looks impossible to miss.

That settles the outcome of the frame and leaves O'Sullivan on course for an overwhelming win.

Frame 8 - O'Sullivan

Doherty has now only scored 22 points in the last five frames.

The Irishman is not enjoying the run of the balls and misses out after potting a red O'Sullivan has left over the bottom corner.

A confident red opens up a second chance but another mistake allows O'Sullivan to reply with a 30 break.

And he is soon back at the table to wrap up the frame after Doherty misjudges a cut into the top corner.

Frame 7 - O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan looks a firm favourite to take a five frame lead but falters when well set on 36.

Doherty doubles a red into the middle pocket but fails to get position on a colour and then fouls trying to play a safety.

It turns out to be another costly error for the struggling Irishman.

Given the option of a free ball O'Sullivan pulls out a fantastic blue in the bottom corner and goes on to secure his fifth frame in a row with a 62 break.

Frame 6 - O'Sullivan

It is starting to look serious for Doherty, who appears short of confidence.

His break looks reasonable but O'Sullivan finds a red in the bottom corner to set himself up on the black.

He rattles up 41 points before going into the pack and the split works in his favour.

But hopes of a century are dashed when a red rattles the jaws and the break ends on 72.

The frame looks lost but Doherty comes to the table to in a bid to unsettle O'Sullivan's rhythm.

It does not pay off as the Irishman fouls on the white and concedes.

Frame 5 - O'Sullivan

Doherty makes a postive start with an aggressive red but is undone on his next shot when the brown hits the jaws and bounces off the table.

O'Sullivan opens his account with a long red, screwing the white back for the blue.

He builds a 30 point lead but the break ends when he splits the pack and is left with no easy pot.

Once again Doherty fails to capitalise when presented with a reasonable opening.

Another simple red is missed and O'Sullivan goes 48 points up with the remaining reds all on the cushion.

Even then there is time for Doherty to waste another chance before O'Sullivan takes the frame.

Frame 4 - O'Sullivan

With the white just off the top cushion O'Sullivan nets another long red and within a couple of minutes the frame is all over.

The world champion goes on to complete the first century of the final and makes it look easy.

He finishes on 106 to take a 3-1 lead into the mid-session interval.

Doherty knows he needs to start taking his chances after the break.

Frame 3 - O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan misses an early chance rattling the jaws with a cut red but bounces back with a brilliant long red into the bottom corner.

The Rocket splits the pack only to miss a relatively easy red into the middle.

Doherty seizes on the chance with a break of 34 but is let down by a poor positional shot.

He then misses another simple red and is made to pay by O'Sullivan who clears up with a quickfire break of 72.

Frame 2 - Doherty

Doherty hits back in impressive fashion to level the match with a break of 95.

It comes after another untidy opening which leaves four reds in the top half of the table.

A Doherty plant puts him in front and gives him the chance to take control of the frame.

And the Irishman makes no mistake although he will be disappointed to have missed out on a century.

Frame 1 - O'Sullivan

Ronnie O'Sullivan breaks to get the final underway but the opening frame proves a scrappy affair lasting half-an-hour.

Doherty leaves an early chance after missing a long red but O'Sullivan fails to take advantage.

A Doherty break of 26 is then halted by a kick on the white.

With both players struggling to find their form, O'Sullivan finally pulls out a long red down the cushion and snookers Doherty.

The Irishman fouls four times in a row but is given another opportunity, only to leave an easy green short of the pocket with the frame at his mercy.

O'Sullivan eventually finishes it off with a long pink to take an early lead.
