Goodwood: Day five round-up
All the action as it happened on the fifth and final day of Glorious Goodwood.

Alexander Goldrun claims yet another Group One success with victory in the Nassau Stakes at 1510 BST.

In the other big race of the day, Kieren Fallon produces a stunning late run on Gift Horse to win the Stewards' Cup.

Going: Good.

1730 Vodafone Apprentice Stakes 1m 1f
1 James Caird (S Golam) 7-2 Fav
2 Adoration (G Fairley) 13-2
3 Lucayan Dancer (V Behan) 15-2 14 ran

1655 Vodafone Racegoers Club Nursery Handicap 6f
1 Tiber Tilly (C Catlin) 14-1
2 Grantley Adams (T E Durcan) 8-1
3 Godfrey Street (R L Moore) 5-2 Fav
13 ran

Mick Channon's Grantley Adams, ridden by Ted Durcan, had to settle for second place after finishing behind Tiber Tilly.

Favourite Godfrey Street improved on his sixth-place finish in Tuesday's Molecomb Stakes to take third.

1620 Vodafone European Breeders Fund Maiden Stakes 7f
1 Opera Cape (J F Egan) 6-1
2 True Cause (K McEvoy) 9-2
3 Peppertree Lane (K Fallon) 11-2
12 ran

Opera Cape edged out favourite True Cause in a strong field with Peppertree Lane ridden by Kieran Fallon coming third.

The win was Opera Cape's first this season.

1545 Vodafone Stewards' Cup 6f
1 Gift Horse (David Nicholls) K Fallon 9-2
2 Fonthill Road (Richard Fahey) P Hanagan 10-1
3 Fantasy Believer (John Quinn) K J Manning 16-1
27 ran

Gift Horse snatched victory in the final few strides of the Stewards' Cup only for Kieren Fallon to claim it was the worst race he had ever ridden.

The jockey was lucky to be on the 9-2 winner after narrowly avoiding a nasty kick in the stomach from the David Nicholls-trained star before the race began.

The victory was Fallon's third of the meeting, the same number as Martin Dwyer.

1510 Vodafone Nassau Stakes 1m 2f
1 Alexander Goldrun (Jim Bolger) Kevin Manning 13-8 Fav
2 Cassydora (John Dunlop) Kerrin McEvoy 16-1
3 Red Bloom (Sir Michael Stoute) Johnny Murtagh 9-1
11 ran

The Jim Bolger-trained Alexander Goldrun had far too much class for her rivals as she cruised to victory despite being briefly held up early on by Red Bloom.

Magical Romance set the early running, but was swept away - along with the rest of the field - with a furlong-and-a-half to go as Alexander Goldrun eased through the gears.

1430 Vodafone Thoroughbred Stakes 1m
1 Forward Move (Richard Hatton) Ryan Moore 14-1
2 Oude (Saeed bin Suroor) Eddie Ahern 20-1
3 Museeb (John Dunlop) Willie Supple 4-1
10 ran

Ryan Moore timed his burst to the front well to guide Forward Move to a comfortable victory.

Borthwick Girl and Museeb made the early running, but could not hold their pace as they were caught going into the home straight.

Oude put up a challenge in the latter stages, but Forward Move always looked to have the race in his grasp once he hit the front.

1400 Vodafone Stakes 1m 3f
1 Group Captain (Sylvester Kirk) Martin Dwyer 25-1
2 Self Respect ( Jeremy Noseda) M J Kinane 5-1 Fav
3 Dahman (Saeed bin Suroor) K McEvoy 8-1
16 ran.

Martin Dwyer goes top of the jockeys' table at the five-day meeting with his impressive win on 25-1 shot Group Captain.

Pre-race favourite Self Respect was held up at the back of the field by Mick Kinane but just failed to claw back the deficit despite a late burst.
